Robotics Programming Class (Non-Competitive) August 2026 Batch - Cumming

Our robotics course is designed to introduce students to the exciting world of robotics. Throughout the course, students will learn the fundamentals of robotic design and programming, developing skills that are increasingly important in today's technologically advanced world.

The course is structured around hands-on projects, where students will have the opportunity to program their own robots and solve unique problems. They will learn about the different components of a robot, how they work together, and how to program them to perform tasks.

The course also encourages creativity and problem-solving skills. Students are encouraged to design their own robotic solutions to challenges, fostering a spirit of innovation and critical thinking.

Our experienced instructors guide students through every step of the process, providing personalized instruction based on each student's needs and progress. With their expertise in robotics, students are well-equipped to explore and excel in this fascinating field.

The learning option available is group sessions with a maximum of 6 students, fostering collaborative learning and teamwork.

This course is perfect for students who are interested in technology, engineering, and computer science. No prior experience is necessary - all that's needed is curiosity and a willingness to learn!

While having FUN!, students will learn about ;

- Engineering concepts such as Systems Development Life-Cycle and Engineering Design Process
- Building a basic Robot with LEGO pieces
- Programming the Robot with EV3 MINDSTORM block programming language
- Testing the robot on a pre-designed course and modify programming

Instructor


Tahir Duzyol is a certified Physics and Technology instructor at Sunshine STEM Academy in Cumming. He has received his Bachelor of Science degree in Physics Education. He is a certified teacher in Physics and Technology Education in the State of Georgia. He received his Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with Technology concentration from Kennesaw State University.

He worked as Computer Science Teacher at a public charter high school for 3 years. He taught Web Design, Graphic Design, Design Principles, HTML, and CSS in Fundamentals of Web Design class and Web Programming, Database and JavaScript programming language in Advanced Web Design classes in high school computer science classes. After 3 years of high school teaching experience, he served as Assistant Principal in a public charter elementary school for 4 years, and Dean of Academics and Technology Director in a private elementary school for 1 year.

During his teaching and school administrative years, he coached students and teams in various extra-curricular activities. Through curricular and extra-curricular activities, students learned web design, programming and engineering concepts; developed team work skills, critical-thinking skills and problem solving skills; earned scholarship toward their college education as a reward of winning placement at competitions.

He leads Academic Enrichment Program, designs and teaches robotics programming course at Sunshine STEM Academy.
