ACT Math Prep - Every Sunday 4 PM - 6 PM

Intensive ACT Math Prep Course Description:

The ACT math sections cover material that students often study over the course of three to four years in high school including arithmetic, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, data interpretation, probability, and statistics yet most students will spend only a few months prepping for the exam. Parts of the test address content that your child may not have worked with since freshman year, or earlier; other questions deal with concepts that your child hasn't yet covered in class.

Prerequisites: Algebra 1 and Geometry

What to Bring: A TI-83 or TI-84 Plus or TI-84 Plus CE graphing calculator.

About Instructor

Sema Duzyol, experienced High School Math Teacher & Math Olympiad Coach, holds BS degree in Engineering and MS in Mathematics. Ms. Duzyol is two time recipient of Edyth May Sliffe National Education award in 2018 and 2019. She has taught all levels of high school mathematics courses including AP Calculus AB, AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, Calculus II and Multi-variable Calculus courses. Mrs. Duzyol coached Georgia State Mathcounts Team for the last four years at the National Mathcounts Competition in 2016-2019. Best placement of Georgia Mathcounts Team under her leadership is 4th place in the Nation, additionally Georgia won the 'Most Improved Team' award for their impressive trajectory two years in a row in 2016 and 2017. In only two short years after she started coaching, Georgia has advanced from 28th place to fourth in the country, the highest ranking ever achieved in the state's history.
