AP Calculus Course - 2 Hours a Week

This class is intended for students planning on taking AP Calculus AB or BC in the Fall. Students will review prerequisite skills for AP Calculus including functions and transformations, exponent rules, factoring, logarithmic properties, simplifying complex fractions, finding zeroes, trigonometric identities, and series and summations. Students will learn AP Calculus concepts starting from limits up to derivatives and integrals.



Instructor:
Sema Duzyol, experienced High School Math Teacher & Math Olympiad Coach, holds BS degree in Engineering and MS in Mathematics. She has taught all levels of high school mathematics courses including AP Calculus, AP Statistics Courses and Multi-variable Calculus. Mrs. Duzyol coached Georgia State MATHCOUNTS Team for the last six years at the National MATHCOUNTS Competition in 2016 thru 2022. In May 2017, for the second year in a row, Georgia won the 'Most Improved Team' award for their impressive trajectory. In only two short years, Georgia has advanced from 28th place to fourth in the country, the highest ranking ever achieved in the state's history.
